From Vanilla Ice to Eminem and everyone in between.
What sets these artists apart is that they are often criticized for having a perceived lack of authenticity. Because they are not black or brown like most other artists who make hip-hop music. This criticism has led some people to believe that something inherently wrong with being white and making hip-hop music is not valid! Just because someone isn’t black doesn’t mean they can’t make great music or be successful at what they do.
This misconception has led to many people feeling uncomfortable listening to or supporting anything related to hip-hop. Which ultimately reduces the number of fans that would otherwise support these artists. If only they weren’t so afraid of being judged by others who don’t understand why they like something that’s not.

Another reason could be that white rappers’ lyrics and music videos are often not good quality. This may be because they need to gain experience in hip-hop or rap music.
The third reason is that some white rappers have been accused of appropriating black culture, also known as cultural theft or cultural appropriation. White rappers use words and phrases from black hip-hop artists without giving credit to them or even paying them for their work.
The fourth reason white rappers are not respected is that too many of them are in the music industry. So many white rappers are trying to be more famous than others that they forget what being a rapper really means. They think that because they have money and fame, people will respect them as much as black hip-hop artists.
Finally, white rappers are often criticized for using black stereotypes in their music videos and songs. This is because some white rappers focus on the stereotypical aspects of black culture rather than its original meaning. They use this as a way to gain popularity among their fans.
Conclusion: Why do people hate white rappers?
Being a rapper and being white is not the same thing. There are rapper artists who do not belong to any cultural group. Either because they have created their own style or have just copied another cultural group’s style. In this case, white rappers are good artists who can be respected for their musical work. However, as mentioned earlier, some white rappers are criticized for appropriating black culture.
Therefore, there is a difference between ‘real’ cultural appropriation and unintentional ignorance when it comes to cultural appropriation in rap. As a general rule, I think any other non-black rapper can learn hip-hop just by studying how black rappers do hip-hop. But there shouldn’t be too much ‘copycatting’. This is because genuine hip-hop comes from personal experiences. Which are very different in many ways from those of white people living in the United States or Europe.
